Little Gospel Lights Preschool ...

 

offers a program based upon the developmental needs of two, three, and four year olds where learning experiences, as well as the learning environment, are structured to lead a child to explore, learn and grow.

Lesson plans provide preschoolers with opportunities to learn cooperation, problem solving and decision-making and to develop understanding in the areas of both academics and social.

Through child-centered activities such as block building, water and sand play, and dramatic play, children gain experience working both individually and in small groups while developing their sense of curiosity, self-direction, and self-esteem.  Cooking experiences acquaint children with healthy, nutritional recipes and snacks and offer opportunities for sharing and taking turns.

 

Our well-equipped outdoor playground offers the preschooler large motor activities. While indoors; music, movement, parachute play, scooters, large climbing blocks and mats and balance beams allow our students to do large motor activities during the winter and inclement weather.  Educational toys such as puzzles and manipulative games help develop the child's fine motor skills as well as playdough, and arts and crafts activities.  Story time and Music and Movement help children learn how to be part of a group, follow directions, and develop listening skills.
